Penn State Abington is partnering with community colleges in the area to offer a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) inclusion and innovation program. The program is for community college students who would consider a STEM career at the Abington campus after completing their associate degree.
Participating Colleges
Community College of Philadelphia, Bucks County Community College and Montgomery County Community College students are eligible for the program.
STEM Transition and Support
Penn State Abington will organize a STEM orientation for a select group of community college students. The orientation will highlight support services and student life opportunities available at the Abington campus. The orientation will be during the summer semester right before starting their student career at Abington.
The program offers a seamless transition from the community college setting to a four-year STEM program at Penn State Abington. Students who decide to apply for admission to Penn State receive mentoring and support throughout the application process.
Accepted student participants will receive a scholarship and on campus job opportunity.
